📐 IMPORTANT – PIPE THREAD SIZE INFORMATION (NPT)

Pipe thread sizes are based on National Pipe Thread (NPT) standards and do not match the measured outside diameter directly.

• Pipe size refers to the inside diameter, not the outside

• To correctly identify a pipe size, you must measure the outside diameter (OD) and compare it to an NPT reference chart

• Example:

  • A 3/4" NPT pipe has an outside diameter of 1.050 inches

  • It uses 14 threads per inch (TPI)

⚠️ Both OD (outside diameter) and TPI (threads per inch) must be checked to confirm proper fit, as multiple sizes may share the same thread count.
