THIS IS NOT A MUFFLER. This is a performance exhaust header pipe without an internal silencer or baffle. It will produce significantly more exhaust noise than a factory muffler when used without a separate muffler.
UNCOATED MILD STEEL: This exhaust is made from mild steel and does not have paint or any protective coating. Surface rust may develop over time, especially when exposed to moisture. We recommend applying high-temperature exhaust paint to help protect against corrosion.
HEAT DISCOLORATION: The exhaust pipe may change color due to the high temperatures generated by the engine. This is normal.
3/4" NPT FEMALE THREAD: The threaded connection is 3/4" NPT, which does not measure exactly 3/4" in diameter. Please read the thread size explanation below before purchasing a muffler or other threaded accessory.

IMPORTANT: Compatibility has not been verified on other engines.
Even if your engine has similar horsepower or displacement, that does not guarantee proper fitment. Different engines may have different exhaust port shapes, mounting hole spacing, and surrounding clearance.
Please compare the exhaust flange shape, mounting hole spacing, and overall dimensions shown in our photos before purchasing.

PLEASE READ: 3/4" NPT DOES NOT MEAN THE THREAD DIAMETER MEASURES 3/4".
This exhaust has a standard 3/4" NPT Female Thread (National Pipe Taper).
NPT pipe threads are identified by their nominal pipe size, not by the actual diameter measured with a ruler or caliper.
This is an industry-standard sizing system used for pipe fittings, exhaust connections, plumbing, and many other applications.
For example:
1/2" NPT: Standard corresponding male thread outside diameter is approximately 0.840" (21.3 mm), with 14 threads per inch.
3/4" NPT: Standard corresponding male thread outside diameter is approximately 1.050" (26.7 mm), with 14 threads per inch.
1" NPT: Standard corresponding male thread outside diameter is approximately 1.315" (33.4 mm), with 11.5 threads per inch.
Because 3/4" is the nominal pipe size, not the physical diameter of the threads.
For example, a standard 3/4" NPT male fitting has a thread outside diameter of approximately 1.05". The matching female connection will also have dimensions larger than the nominal 3/4" size.
The exact measurement inside a female threaded opening may vary depending on where and how it is measured because NPT threads are tapered.
This does NOT mean you received a 1" NPT connection.
TPI stands for Threads Per Inch. It refers to the number of thread peaks within one inch.
A standard 3/4" NPT connection has 14 TPI.
However, thread size cannot be identified by TPI alone. Both the thread diameter and thread pitch must be considered.
IMPORTANT: If you are purchasing a muffler or fitting for this exhaust, you need a 3/4" NPT MALE connection.
Do not order a 1" NPT fitting simply because the 3/4" NPT thread appears to measure approximately one inch.
Please refer to the NPT thread size chart in the listing photos for additional clarification.
Before installation, make sure the exhaust flange matches your engine and that there is sufficient clearance around the exhaust pipe.
Use the supplied mounting hardware where appropriate for your engine.
Check that all hardware is properly tightened before operating the engine.
After the first heat cycle, allow the engine and exhaust to cool completely, then recheck the mounting hardware.
Because this exhaust is made from uncoated mild steel, we recommend applying a suitable high-temperature exhaust paint if corrosion protection is desired.
WARNING: Exhaust components become extremely hot during operation. Keep them away from combustible materials and avoid touching them until completely cooled.
