This book continues to tell the story of Haller’s Polish Army in France, Armia Hallera, the Blue Army, and subsequently in the Polish-Ukrainian and Polish-Soviet War. Attention is focused on numerous newspaper articles from English and Polish newspapers in the United States as well as American and Foreign magazines and newsletters of the time. Added details on General Jozef / Gen. Josef Haller.
Vignette histories of lives of 9 soldiers are told in detail by family members and
associates. The history of the 46th Borderland Riflemen has been
translated from Polish and is presented in English.
Over 250 color and black-and-white mages are used throughout the book. Special attention is placed on General Haller's 4 trips to the United States, 1923, 1933-4, 1940, 1952, with numerous images and newspaper articles.
Extensive information on Polish soldiers buried in France and the associated cemeteries are illustrated. Also connections with the Czecho-Slovak Legion, the White Russian forces, and the Serbian forces fighting for their respective nations. Detailed filings of the Franco-Polish agreement to support each other in war, as well as Reports of
the progress of World War I are chronologically recorded, as well as
battles fought after the Armistice of 1918 to free Poland and restore it to the
map of Europe.
A complete guide to the Count Potocki art exhibit held in Paris for the benefit of the wounded Polish troops is illustrated and translated into English for the first time. Also reports on the annual convention of the Polish Army Veterans Association in 1928, Buffalo New York, is detailed.
Memoirs from an officer's photo album never before published. He fought in France & Pommerania/ Pomorze and Ukraine.
