• One side contains a political history of the continent, including maps showing how Africa was carved up by the various colonial powers, plus a beautiful reproduction of the famous 1570 map by the Flemish cartographer Abraham Ortelius.



• On the reverse side there is a detailed political map, drawn on a scale of 1:14,400,000, showing railroads, major roads, airports, canals, oil fields, and other features.
