This vintage Frederick Post Versalog 1460 12-inch bamboo slide rule with original sturdy brown leather case is in very good condition (see photos). It was made in Japan and has an inconspicuous “LG” stamp on one end (see photos) which is probably a date code indicating it was manufactured in 1961. The serial number is 219014. The body and cursor are labeled “Hemmi”. The metal braces are tarnished (see photos).

The Slide Rule Museum website has information on the scales. Note that while the other labels are printed in black or red, the “Cos” label is printed in green.

The slide and cursor both move freely and the cursor is free of cracks, scratches, and grime.

The case has a metal ring and belt loop on the back. As is common with vintage slide rules, the original owner's name is written in ink on the inside of the case's flap. He also used green plastic tape to identify the case and put his name on the side (see photos).
