Former film and TV actor, Ronald Reagan, ran for California Governor in 1966 and won two terms. This was during many of that state's student protests, over the Vietnam War and other issues, which made Berkeley famous and infamous. A law-and-order candidate and governor, tons of 1.25" cello button were sold in those hippy-dippy head shops to young people who thought they could get away with anything and resented when they got tear gassed. In light of all the comparable anti-pins while he was a two-term president that out there, a person can build a wonderful collection of trays filled with just anti-Reagan pinbacks. So, we thought we'd list some in our eBay store just for kicks since they're clever and fun.
Here's a 1.5" cello picking on Vanna White, the pretty blonde co-star of the game show, "Wheel of Fortune" whose main job consisted of turning over correctly guessed letters. The left always underestimated Reagan - in their arrogance - and paid the price for it politically.
