A CEREMONIAL INDIAN PONCHO

This poncho consists of a hand-woven textile made with llama and sheep wool, dyed with anilina, and twisted together, which produces a very dark cherry field. The hand sewing is made of commercial wool with a special design. The warp is natural brown yarn. 

Stripe of reverse-spun yarns (lluq’i) creating herringbone configurations on the lateral sides were added to protect the wearer from malignant powers
