Vintage Jef Bretschneider mixed media acrylic on mesh from his "canvas simulation" or a "virtual canvas" series, features an open weave, transparent mesh that acts and behaves like a canvas over a monochrome image on a masonite board, housed in a white tone wooden frame with hanging wire on the verso, signed and dated on the back.
Jef Bretschneider is a New York based contemporary artist, known for his participation in the 1970's & 80's East Village Art Scene. Recently, Bretschneider was included in the 2017-2018 CLUB 57 RETROSPECTIVE at the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
