Vintage 1961 ticket for the game between the Pittsburgh Panthers and the Penn State Nittany Lions played on 11/25/1961 at Pitt Stadium in Pittsburgh. The Nittany Lions defeated the Panthers 47-26 in front of a crowd of 37,261.
The Pitt Panthers were led by 7th year head coach John Michelosen. They would finish the year 3-7.
The Nittany Lions were led by head coach Rip Engle in his 12th season. They would finish 8-3 and #17 in the final AP poll and beat Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl.
