Each of these urns has a 200ml capacity (approx. 12 cubic inches). This makes it ideal for dividing the ashes of an adult amongst family or for holding the ashes of a pet.

A simple guide for pet ashes...

The urn can hold a pound of your pet's weight per cubic inch.

For example:

If your pet weighed 10 pounds you would need an urn of 10 cubic inches.
If your pet weighed 20 pounds you would need an urn of 20 cubic inches and so on.

As a guide, the average cat in the UK weighs approximately 4kg which is about 9 lbs. This would require an urn with a minimum of 9 cubic inches.

The capacity of these urns is 200ml which is 12 cubic inches and can therefore hold the ashes of a pet up to 12 lbs (approx. 5.4kg).

The amount of ashes returned by a crematorium can vary significantly, and on occasion, more ashes are returned than expected. We strongly recommend checking with the crematorium as to what size urn you require.
