This old leather covered jewelry box is from Bailey, Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia. It was made to hold a cigarette holder. The box is in good condition with light wear. The leather is dark brown or black with gold details. The top of the inside lid is silk, the base interior is blue velvet. The opening for the cigarette holder measures 3 5/8" long. The box measures 4 5/8" long and is 1 3/8" wide. The clasp is working. A fine antique Bailey, Banks & Biddle jewelry box.
