rare H.M. Caldwell edition from 1900. Gilt page edges on top. Green cloth stamped in gilt design on front. gilt titles on spine. Because this little edition is so rare, i have nothing to compare it to, and for that reason I am guessing the front free-endpaper has been excised. There is a rear endpaper so I am guessing sometime in its 124 year history, it was removed. There is a chance that the first page is indeed the title page, especially in these smaller pocket type editions, but if i were a betting man, i'd say there was an endpaper. If you could find another copy of this, which i couldn't, we could figure it out. Needless to say, this is a tidy, little copy of the classic, from 1900; selections from the famous poem. Green cloth shows rubbing. Front hinge is tender, likely as a result of assumed front endpaper being removed. In the event you are a restorer, the rear endpaper could be flipped and inserted in the front, as last blank page could serve as rear endpaper.
