New Pro Filter Upgrade Kits

Our new kits to upgrade your biorb. This kit contains a pre-cut foam circle and biogravel media to convert the biorb into a an efficient environment supporting more beneficial bacteria and keeping the aquariums habitants happy.

Once the media is mature it will reduce ammonia and nitrite levels and keep the aquarium in great biological condition.

This kit comes with beneficial bacteria supporting gravel, and the correct size foam for your selection in the drop down menu. We also include one of our service kit refills, an airstone and 50 of our bacteria balls to aid the maturation of the new filter setup. 

The tank base should ideally be cleaned once every two weeks in line with normal maintenance to remove uneaten fish food and waste A gravel cleaner should be used to remove waste from base of tank and foam and it will also remove water from the tank allowing for a partial water change of between 25-50%. 

Use our cleaning pads for acrylic (not glass) tanks when cleaning the inside of your biorb to avoid scratching. 

Please choose the model closest to yours so if its a 45L please choose the 60 as the 30 will not provide enough media. 

You may have some gravel left over but this can be used to top up over time as you may suck some out when cleaning it. We also recommend the use of the service kit in the centre as this contains media that removes tannins (discolouration) for a cleaner and brighter looking aquarium.

**Due to the porous nature of the media occasionally there can be a few pieces that have some trapped air inside and float. Please dispose of these odd few bits as we give extra to cover if this happens**
