What is an IMA code and why is it important?

The IMA code is an industry standard term and stands for “Injector Menge Abgleichung” which means “injector quantity offset”.

Once an injector has gone through the OE test it generates its own IMA code. This code identifies where in the tolerance range the needle and nozzle assembly fit, which allows the ECU to adjust the fuelling accordingly resulting in optimised engine performance.

Failure to code the injectors can result in the following:

- Your vehicle will run much less efficiently and smoothly. Resulting in increased fuel consumption, black smoke and engine management issues.
- Your vehicle will not start.

1. What condition is this injector?

The item will state "New" or "Reconditioned/Remanufactured".
New is a brand new part in the original packaging. Reconditioned/Remanufactured is a properly rebuilt part which has been completely disassembled, cleaned and examined for wear and breakage. Worn out, missing or non-functioning components have been replaced with new or rebuilt components. It is the functional equivalent of a new part and is virtually indistinguishable from a new part.

All our reconditioned common rail diesel fuel pumps have had fitted a genuine new suction control valve or pressure regulator and have been tested to the latest OE test data.

UK Delivery

We send all our items by courier, requiring a signature on delivery. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Exclusions: We do not ship to Jersey (JE), Guernsey (GY), British Forces Post Office (BFPO) or Military addresses.

Returns

The returns policy on each listing outlines; when the return period begins, the length of the return period and the person or persons responsible for expenses endured by return postage. PF Jones does not accept returns outside of the time frame stated in the returns policy.

All items including Click & Collect orders must be sent to the PF Jones returns address. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the safe transit of all returned items.

All returns must be authorised by a PF Jones employee and accompanied with an RMA number. Returned items must be in the original condition with no signs of fitting or use.

Subsequent to PF Jones receiving a returned item from the Buyer, PF Jones endeavours to inspect the item within 7 working days. Once the inspection is complete, the Buyer will be contacted directly regarding a refund or to explain any issues raised as a consequence of the inspection.

Subsequent to the PF Jones' inspection of a returned item, where required, PF Jones endeavours to refund the Buyer within 7 working days. Refunds can only be issued to the Buyer via the original payment method.

Any item that is made to order cannot be cancelled or returned to the Seller. The Buyer will be made aware of any item that is made to order in writing prior to an order being accepted.
