Mid 20th Century Artist, Signed/Initialed "GKB", on lower left, of this Shoreline Figural. It is an Original Oil on Canvas, circa 1950's. Depicted, in almost a 'Primitive' style, is a spearfisher, standing on the rocky shoreline, waves crashing around, lining up his target and readying himself to make the attempt to catch a meal. There is a marvelous combination of action with the tension of the waiting for the right moment! There is some dirt on the canvas.
2 1/2" Wide, 2 5/8" Deep, Beige/Brown (patina) Wormwood frame with an off-white inner lip is included complementary in this listing. We believe the frame is original to the piece.
Canvas measures 16 X 20 and is in Good Vintage condition.
Outside measure of the frame is 20 3/4 X 24 3/4 and is in Good to Very Good Vintage condition.
Please carefully examine all images for condition.
