Up for your purchasing pleasure is this stunning modernist sterling silver hinged bangle bracelet. It comes from Taxco Mexico, oft called the silver capital of the world for the beauty of its peoples creations. Thjis art deco piece does not disappoint. It is signed by the artisan TA 101,  Taxco, and LATON. , Mexico 925. Mexico adopted this date mark style in the late 1970s to 1980, where the first letter stands for the city in which the artist lived, the second the first letter of the craftmans last name. The number represents the order of registry. In most cases, we have no idea who created the piece as Mexico did not keep good records using that system. The piece is also signed LATON. Laton itself seems to have been a special silver smith artisan store located within Taxco. More information on Mexican hallmarks is at the wonderful site 925-1000 dot com. 

There are no returns on this item, and aside from some superficial scratches its in decent condition; however, it is a bit wobbly on its hinges. 

It weighs a 31.3 grams. When unhinged (as seen in photo)  there is almost a 3.5 inch gap; its inside diameter when closed a bit under 2.5 inches. At its tallest part, it stands almost 1.5 inches high.
