This phone is an original Western electric 500 desk telephone from the 1960's and 1970's. It is fully restored with new cords and a reproduction dial card in the finger wheel. This phone is ready to plug in and use with no additional wiring or adapters.

Hard of Hearing: I do have special handsets available for the hard of hearing. These are original Western Electric G6 handsets that were designed specifically to go with Western Electric telephones. The quality and clarity of these handsets can't be beat. Send me a message after you purchase the phone and I will set up a special listing to purchase the upgrade.

Condition:

  • All of the phones I sell are 100% original vintage phones. The only modern parts you will find on my phones are cords and dial cards.

  • All of the phones I sell are refurbished to look and work like new. This includes cleaning and lubricating dials, updating wiring, and full function testing before shipping.

  • Each phone gets a new handset cord and comes with a new line cord for plugging it into the wall.

  • All plastics and Bakelite are buffed to a high shine. In the case of discolored phones, the parts are sent in for professional painting using the same materials and process the phone company used when refurbishing phones.

  • All phones are adapted for modular use, so all you have to do is plug the phone in and use it. Wall phones come with a modern modular back, ready to snap onto the wall.

About Digital Dialing:

  • If you have digital phone service, you will probably be unable to dial out with this phone. This is correctable by adding a digital converter to the phone. With this device installed you will be able to use this phone on any digital system.
  • If you are using a Bluetooth connection, you will be able to dial out without needing a converter. Your phone will also ring just fine. I do have easy to use Bluetooth modu les available, you will find a link to it in the description above.
  • Including a converter is an additional $70. If you want this option, message me for purchase instructions.

Shipping:

  • I ship within 48 hours of payment.

  • I combine phones to save on shipping. If you buy them separately, I'll refund back the difference.

  • The phones are well packed to protect them during shipping.

Warranty:

  • I will fix your phone free of charge if you send it to me for as long as you own your phone. I will pay return shipping after repairs are made (USA shipping only). This warranty does not cover damage from drops, floods, lightning strike, misuse, or any other cause for failure outside of normal usage.

  • I offer free support after the sale via email or phone call. I can help with any issues you may have with your new-old phone to insure an easy, smooth, and trouble-free installation.

Returns:

  • If you do not like your phone for any reason, you are welcome to return it for a full refund within 30 days of the sale date. Shipping charges are not refundable.

  • I must receive the phone back in the same condition it was sent out in. So please pack carefully, I will not refund if it is damaged in shipping. You'll have to file a claim with the post office.
