To use: Paul Mitchell The Color XG is a professional hair color product that is typically applied by a licensed stylist in a salon setting. If you are using at home, the steps include: Prepare your hair by washing with a clarifying shampoo to remove any product buildup or excess oils. Do not condition your hair prior to adding hair color. Mix the color by following the instructions provided in the to mix the developer and color together in a non-metallic bowl. Apply the color. Put on gloves and apply the color to your hair. Start at the roots and work your way down to the ends. Make sure to saturate your hair evenly with color. Leave color on your hair for 30-45 minutes. Rinse the color out of your hair with cool water until the water runs clear. Do not shampoo your hair. Apply a deep conditioner to your hair to help replenish moisture and protect your color.
