The Sri Lanka 50 Rupees Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in 2006. It has a color combination of blue and green and bears English, Sinhala, and Tamil texts. Its obverse features a Kandyan dancer with an ornate headdress. The reverse is in a vertical orientation and features butterflies, the Jetavan and Thuparama stupas in Anuradhapura, a shield, and an ornamental sword. The note contains a solid security thread with printed CENTRAL BANK OF SRI LANKA RUPEES FIFTY. It also has a watermark that reveals a lion holding a whip with an electrotype sword. The note is 136 x 68 mm in size and is signed by Mahinda Rajapaksa and Ajith Nivard Cabraal. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
