All PaperLight pieces are carefully handcrafted and are one of a kind. Pure cotton linter fiber is blended with water into pulp which is then cast on handmade forms. After drying, the cast paper shape is decorated with a raised design and painted by hand with various types of water based paints. Gold, copper or silver leaf is applied to most pieces and pottery shards are also cast into some pieces.
Each piece has a hanger on the back. The sculptures may be displayed flat on a table, on a plate stand or mounted on a wall.
