We originally purchased a few samples of these seatposts and although the cosmetic condition was not always as nice as we had hoped (as the original "samples" were not retail boxed), they were well received by customers, so we purchased the remaining stocks from a European wholesaler. We particularly like the traditional styling and shiny (polished) silver finish that covers most of the pillar. We also like the engraved "Gipiemme" logo on the frontside of the pillar. It's a nice, albeit understated, touch to this classic looking seatpost. 

As we have noted in other Gipiemme seatpost listings, many of the units were bulk packed in boxes of 20 with individual slots cut out in the box for each post to stand in an upright position (and free from contact from other seatposts). Although, that is not the case here, as we were able to acquire some of these seatposts in their original retail packaging. This offering is for one of those Gipiemme seatposts (in it's original cardboard box). Although, as we inspect each of these shiny silver seatpost in their original retail packaging, we are noting a difference in cosmetic condition. Simply put, some show more shopwear (scuffs and scratches) on the shiny/polished silver finish, while others are relatively clean and in nicer cosmetic condition. This particular offering is for the latter, so one of the cleaner units that shows nicer than the more shopworn offerings. These units are still not in perfect cosmetic conditions, but the scuffs and scratches are not as significant. I can also confirm the pictures have been updated to better illustrate this cosmetic condition. So the seatpost pictured here is the actual unit that will sell/ship.
