This uncirculated 500 Kenyan shilling banknote is a standard circulation banknote that is dated 01 July 2001 and signed by Central Bank Governor Nahashon Ngige Nyagah and Member Mwaghazi Mwachofi. It is a black, yellow, and green note that measures 150 mm x 78 mm. Its obverse side features a lion, Mount Kenya, Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side shows the coffee berries and a view of the Parliament Building and Clock Tower, the Parliamentary mace, and a shield and spears. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBK 500, a lion head watermark, and an elephant registration device.
