Mid 20th Century Artist F. Sowinski Signed, on lower right, this Warm and Inviting Fishing Hole Landscape. It is an Original Oil on Artist's Canvas board. It is painted in a Modern Impressionist style (late WPA) with a hint of Americana (images that reflect the charm and nostalgia of America's past) and 'lite' Impasto technique (laying on paint thickly so that it stands out from a surface) centered on the vegetation. A young boy (could be a girl) sits on the edge of a pond, hoping for a bite. Impressive red, wood barn is directly behind and sits next to a tree lined path. Deep, Rich color palette used. This piece was purchased from the (Frank) Thompson Gallery that used to be the heart of the Greenwich Village art scene in the mid to late 20th century.

Canvas board measures 18 X 24 and is in Good to Very Good condition with minor wear visible around edges and corners - covered once framed.

Please carefully examine all images for condition.
