Vintage General Motors Door & Trunk Lock Set. Also, includes the short "Radio Dial" glove box cylinder. The Strattec (Briggs & Stratton) part number for the 3 door & trunk lock set (less pawls & lock shaft) is 608339. The Strattec number for the black finish set (less pawls & lock shaft) is 700807.
The Strattec part numbers for the individual door & trunk locks in the set are as follows:
Door: 608215, (Chrome pair 609730, Black pair 700806)
Trunk: 605533, (Black 700742)
The pawls that come with these locks are Strattec #'s 320986 & 320987 (GM #'s 20188198 & 20188199). The Strattec number for the included trunk lock shaft that comes with this set is 591326 (GM #3086394). Of course the pawls and lock shaft can be easily replaced with the proper pawls and lock shaft for your vehicle.
All 4 locks in the set are keyed alike to a "D" keyway GM secondary key (Strattec #320653, Ilco #'s S1098D & B51). The key are factory original with the "knock out" showing the code number still in place. This is a true NOS OEM set, not a reproduction or cheap import.
The rear pawl attachment post on the door locks is the 3/8" Medium length variety. It is designed to work only with pawls that have the "folded over" mounting design as you can see with the pawls that come with these locks. Be sure to check the pawls for your vehicle to make sure they are of the "folded over" mounting design.
The "D" keyway key used on these locks was standard for the 1976, 1980, 1987, 1988, 1989 & 1990 model years. Other model years used either the "B", "H", or "K" keyways. The locks are otherwise identical and will work without issues, with the only difference being the keyway.
The door & trunk locks (less pawls & shaft) will work for the following years, makes & models. The glove box cylinder may or may not fit depending on your vehicle. The same is true for the pawls & trunk lock shaft.
