Longer mane hair.
Short hair length on middle and bottom of hide.
Coloring is uniform throughout hide.
Large areas with missing hair.
Several large holes.
Very heavy hide.

This buffalo hide came from a ranch-raised U.S. buffalo that was raised for food. The buffalo was not killed just for the hide.
