The blue 5 Solomon Island dollar banknote is the only note in the 2004-2018 series that has a solid security thread instead of a windowed security thread. The notes dimensions are 145 mm by 72 mm. Its obverse side features the Solomon Islands flag and coat of arms. Its reverse side depicts a coastal house and traditional war canoes. Aside from the solid security thread, other security features include a watermark of a falcon in flight.
