these 2 1/2" fittings have socket ends designed to take 2 1/2" pipe and 75mm pipe. The size name of the fitting denotes the size of pipe it takes. Inch size names do not measure the same as an inch on a ruler. For a permanent fixture use Solvent Weld Cement/Glue.
