Wonderful Biedermeier watercolor by the well-known Viennese portraitist and genre painter Albert Decker.

Albert Decker (1817 Colmar - 1871 Vienna) was a renowned Austrian painter and graphic artist who lived and worked in Vienna during the 19th century. He was born in a famous Viennese family of artists: his father Johann Stephan Decker and his brothers Georg and Gabriel were also known painters. The family moved to Vienna from Pest (then - part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire) in 1821. Albert Decker has been showing his portraits and miniatures at various Viennese exhibitions from 1839. As a graphic artist he was known for his lithographs.
