This is a spiral cutter head, manufactured by WGM Tool Works, to replace the stock traditional HSS steel cutters, for Makita 2030N 12" planer. Each head features 4 rows of cutters for a total of ~50. Each cutter, or carbide insert, is solid carbide and will out last your steel knives by a good margin. Each insert also has four cutting sides so just rotate the one side that gets dull and your are ready to plane again. The dimensions of the inserts are 15mmX15mmX2.5mm.
