Absorbency Test. If you're unsure whether your leather is absorbent, we've made it simple to find out. Perform a quick test by placing a small drop of water onto an undamaged area of your leather. If the water absorbs within a few seconds and turns darker, your leather is absorbent and can be treated with the Leather Restorer. If the water remains on the surface, your leather is non-absorbent. In this case, we recommend using our Premium All in One Leather Dye, specifically designed for non-absorbent leather.

How to apply our Leather Colour Restorer

Step 1

Before applying the Leather Colour Restorer, clean your leather with our Leather Cleaner. This step is essential, especially for absorbent leather to ensure the best results.

Step 2

Apply the Leather Restorer to a lint-free cloth, then rub it into the leather in a circular motion, making sure to work it into all creases and folds for complete absorption.

Step 3

Allow the Restorer to settle for 10 minutes, then buff with a clean lint-free cloth. When there is no more colour transfer on the cloth, you can continue to use your item again as normal. For long lasting softness, we recommend applying our Leather Conditioner every 3 months to keep your leather supple.

Which colour restorer should I choose?

As our Restorer darkens with each application, we would recommend using a colour slightly lighter than your leather.

Will the restorer rub off onto my clothes?

Once the Restorer has been thoroughly buffed off and leaves no colour on your cloth then it will not transfer onto clothes.

Can I use your leather restorer on my sofa?

Our Leather Restorer is for absorbent leather only. Please perform the following test to ascertain if your leather is absorbent or non-absorbent.

• Drop a couple of drops of water onto an UNDAMAGED part of your leather.
• Leave for up to 30 seconds.
• If it soaks in and leaves a darker mark, then it is absorbent.
• If it appears to sit on the top or roll off, then it is non-absorbent.
