"RARE" *Josef Ekberg* Gustavsberg Sweden Listed Master Ceramist Artist Signed & Marked.  Bio:     Josef Ekberg (1877 – 1945) was a Swedish designer who worked at Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory from 1889 until his death in 1945. Some of his famous patterns were on glasswork and had names like “so”, “Brenda” and “Chic”. Gustavsberg was founded in 1827 and contains more than 35,000 ceramic pieces created at the Gustavsberg porcelain factory from the 1830s until its closure in 1994.

Many of Ekberg’s pieces are still being sold on eBay as well as other ceramic collector sites on the internet. Some[who?] say that Ekberg used light colors because they look soft and elegant. Some of his work was created when he was only 22 years old.
