We are pleased to present a June 1935 small photo album, 4.75" x 3.5" x 1.5" thick, holding photos from a tour aboard the Monte Pascoal through the Norwegian fjords. The visible windows for the photos in this album are all 3.125" x 2", so the photos themselves are a little bigger than that. There seem to be two types of photos in here, the first is personal snapshots which are all good quality, and the second is souvenir photos (purchase on the ship, and in Norway) which are also very good quality. It being 1935 on a German ship, there is a Nazi flag flying on deck in one snapshot, and a man is seen saluting a German warship in a souvenir photo. There are many good snapshots around the ship, as well as Norwegian scenery and towns including Hardanger, Odda, Ulvik, and Kopervik. The personal snapshots are frequently annotated on the back or in the margin of the album; the souvenir pics are captioned in the photo margin or back of photo. Please see pics.
