Vintage American Padlock, Model # 206. The solid zinc body of these locks has no paint coating which was typical of the early versions of American Lock pin tumbler padlocks.

These locks date from early to mid 1960's.  It was around this time period that Junkune Bros, the manufacturer of American padlocks expanded their product offering to include tumbler locks. Prior to this time American Padlocks only came with blade/wafer tumbler key cylinders.

The locks are brand new and have never been used. Even though they are new, they may show some shelf burns from being in the same box for over 50 years. The locks are keyed different meaning each lock comes with its own unique key. NOS, New Old Stock.

Each lock comes with 2 original American Lock keys. The keys say "American USA" on one side and have the key number on the other side. The key code number is also on the top each of the cylinder which was only done for a short period of time.

There are no individual boxes. However, in you purchase all 5 of these locks will will include the 50th Anniversary (1912-1962) six-lock shelf carton. The carton has some UV fading and writing but is a nice collectible.

The dimensions of these locks are identical to those of the current production American Lock padlock Model # A21.

Like all American Lock padlocks the shackle is locked by dual ball bearings which resist pulling and prying.
