The certificate granted honorary citizenship to South Dakota and invited the person named to visit the state during the 1961 state-wide celebration.
The un-used sheet of stationery has a Dakota Territory Centennial design at the bottom, and when held up to the light it has a large Mt. Rushmore watermark.
The decorative envelope features a map on the back and illustrations of state landmarks and recreational activities.

All three pieces of ephemera are in nice condition.
