There are 3 revisions of Lightstrip Plus, there is Gradient Lightstrip, Solo Lightstrip and now both OmniGlow & Flux Strip Lights. Most versions have 2 different sized connectors, the Control Box socket and the LightStrip Extension connector, making 3 different cable combinations for each of the 7 versions. That’s 21 different cables, plus splitters.

This is a custom, made to order Spacer Cable for Philips Hue LightStrip Plus V4 that will link a Philips Hue LightStrip Plus V4 to an Extension LightStrip V4, providing space in between. This goes between lightstrips only, and does NOT connect to the Control Box.

There are multiple scenarios for which these can be used. For example, you may want to light the underneath of each step in a set of steps. This provides the cable and space in between each of the steps. You would need one of these spacer cables in between each step.

This cable for V4 lightstrips will not work between any cut Lightstrip ends. If you wish to cut the LightStrip into 2 the solution maybe a splitter from the control box. Alternatively, you can cut an extra 33cm section off the first section and attach the end 33cm to the first section using the clasp connector that came with your V4 Lightstrip.

All of our Philips Hue LightStrip Plus Cables, Leads and Extensions are made with the proper connectors for the Philips Hue LightStrip Plus system.

All of these cables are made to order, to the exact length you need. If the size you need is not in the options, just purchase a length that will accommodate the length you would like, then drop us a note with your exact specification. Length is from plug tip to socket tip, excluding any external pins.

Any length can be made. It's the same price for any size up to a metre, and a little more for every additional metre after that. If you would like a length longer or outside of the available options, simply ask. We're using a 20 metre long cable and it is working perfectly, so they will go further than you think.

Fitting Instructions

Although the cable will plug into some connectors either way up, they will only work one way. If it doesn't work, simply plug it in the other way up. It shouldn't damage the lightstrip if you plug it the wrong way up, as long as it's not powered on for hours.

As Phillips didn't design these lightstrips with cables in mind, there is nothing for cables or lightstrips to clip and lock onto. LightStrips only don't come loose because they are stuck in place. In some situations you may need to secure the connections in place with insulation tape or heatshrink.

Philips Hue LightStrip Cables and Solutions

These are for use with Philips Hue LightStrip products only. Whilst our cables and adapters are being used by ourselves without any problems, you use them at your own risk. It is recommended that you connect no more than 10 meters of actual LightStrip to one Control Box. LightStrips and Control Box are not included.
