The half wave Endfed Antenna 49:1 will give you the best SWR in a few amateur bands, if you are okay with a little bit of higher SWR then it is possible to cover most of the amateur bands. I will recommend using a touch up tuner with up to 3:1 VSWR ability, that many modern radios have built in nowadays.

I also recommend to use a 1:1 balun if the installation requires a wire counterpoise, the balun should go in before the 49:1 in the coax to the radio, if the coax shield is use as a counterpoise then the 1:1 balun should be before entering the house or behind the radio. 

The counterpoise should not be less then 17ft of wire for 20-80 meters.
