Vintage Flat-Shank Style Combination Wrench Made by J.H. Williams & Co.

J.H. Williams & Co. was founded by James Harvey Williams and Matthew Diamond in 1882 in New York.  It was one of the first to offer mass-produced drip-forged handtools.  It was well-known for making professional handtools.

In 1959, Williams introduced a flat-shank style design for its wrenches.  The markings were changed considerably for the flat-shank style. The Williams name retained its underline from the final "S" and was enclosed by an outline box, then bracketed by sets of three parallel lines.
