For your consideration is a fabulous semi black opal (N6) from Lightning Ridge, Australia. This gem would be ideal for a pendant setting. The lower portion features extremely bright (4.5/5) multicolors in a rolling broadflash pattern. Colors include red and RARE violet! The upper portion of the gem features bright (3/5) multicolors in a whispy pinfire pattern. This buff-top, freeform cut gem weighs 1.55 carats. It measures 13mm long by 9.5 mm wide by 2.5mm high. Flawlessly clean and crack-free face-up. There is some dark potch and a few minor clay specks on the back. As ever, this is all-natural, untreated material, mined from Mother Earth.
