Early 19th C. Japanese Artist Signed, on lower left, this Incredible Traditional Japanese Country Landscape with Figures. It is an Original Watercolor on paper, c. 1820's. One figure rakes the ground under a bent tree, as another, with a lit torch and a leashed dog, crosses a small bridge over rushing water (see waterfall at right) to retrieve our field worker. Lovely and delicate work - subtle color palette - Classic example of Japanese landscape artwork.
