These sponges are small but they work so much better than ordinary sponges. I use them to dry the shower after use. They absorb a lot of liquid and only require one pass. They're rock hard when dry and you have to work a little to get them wet. I just set it on the shelf in the enclosure while I shower and that does the track. Thus far - great product.

This PVA Sponge truly is strange, but it's the best ever. Hard as a rock when dry, but toss it on the shower floor while you shower and when your done, wring it out and it will absorb enough water to wipe down your entire shower stall... almost. It took me 2 years to find one, and I will never lose the address for simplygoodstuff.com

I came across a sponge like this years ago and it quickly became my favorite sponge. So absorbent and it never wore out. One day my husband found it and he claimed it as his own. I had a hard time finding another because I couldn't remember what it's made of. The. I came across it at simplygoodstuff.com. Now I have one of my own again and this makes me happy.

This sponge surpasses my expectations. Use it to get water out of a small boat. This sponge soaked up way more than my last one and I thought it was the "best ever". Friends saw it work and now they have them!

I was looking for a super absorbent sponge to keep in the dripcatcher under my dogs' water fountain. This sponge is a winner! It absorbs so much more water than an ordinary sponge and doesn't get all slimy so it's no big deal to squeeze it out. I highly recommend this product if what you need is a reliable sponge to soak up water quickly and efficiently.

These sponges are the best that I have ever found. When they are moist they suck up every drop of liquid desired to be removed.
They do harden like a brick overnight. When emerged in water they again become heavily laden with water.
Just squeeze the excess water out and they are your best cleaning friend in the kitchen and bath room. Wipe the shower stall dry and future cleaning is a thing of the past.

This is a most interesting sponge. It does indeed soak up water very efficiently. Kind of amazing, actually.
The odd thing about it, however, is that when it dries out it gets very hard and it takes a bit of soaking to get it back into shape. It comes packed in a airtight plastic wrap and it vey pliable when you first unwrap it. Just don't be surprised when it turns into a lightweight brick in between uses!

Good product
Love these sponges. Very absorbent and don't stain easily. Only problem is they are dyed. No mention of this on the website. I bought a ton and most are deep purple which can only hurt the environment. I regret having bought so many.

This item is very absorbtive, as advertised. And when it wipes over a surface it extracts the water, without leaving a trail of drops behind. In these ways it is far superior to cellulose sponges. However, when it sits idle for days it becomes very hard, and it has to be soaked again before its properties as a sponge are available.

The sponges are ONLY good for picking up water. They are no good for use as a sponge to wash pots, pans or dishes. They're sort of like a chamois in sponge form. I wouldn't get any bleach on them as it eats it right away. I'll use them on the car when I wash it so it will get the rinse water off easily.
So I hope that helped.

I had bought a couple of these with the intent of using them in the shower to wipe down the walls after showering. Somehow, I missed reading that they dry out rock hard and have to be soaked for about a minute to be able to use. I'm not happy that they have to be stored damp in order to use them immediately to soak up a spill or dog accident. I wouldn't have ordered them if I knew this.

These R GREAT......if U take notice, when U take it out of the plastic rap, it will FEAL a LITTLE DAMP, it will SOAK UP like a Gem,
But if U don't put it in a zip lock bag when done, it gets as hard as a Rock......
So with that being said, when U need it again, just soke it in the sink 4 FAST RESULTS, squeeze out & go SOAK IT UP.....
I have all so put it in the washer 2 clean it up from real messy spills.......
I got one 4 each Floor in all bathrooms & kitchens.......,

Best sponge ever. I had bought some at a local store the closed and was pretty upset when I thought I couldn't replace them. I'm amazed the DIY stores or car supply stores don't have them. These sponges are truly super absorbent.

Buy This Sponge
Searching for a replacement of the pva sponge I bought at the fair, many years ago, I thought I got a good deal from another supplier and picked up 5 for $20. Not a good deal, in less than a month the first sponge was falling apart. The previous sponge from the fair lasted years. So my search brought me to SimplyGoodStuff. Their sponge is excellent and was thinking I need to get some more from them. Hopefully they are from the same manufacturer as before.

I first saw this type product in the shower of a friend in Europe. He gave me one. We use it to dry out the shower stall after showering to prevent mildew from forming. We used to use a squeegee. On tile the squeegee does not do a very good job because it just pushes water around and it stays in the grout. The PVA sponge doesn't move water around; it sucks it up - and very effectively. I am very pleased and recommend these PVA sponges to my friends.

We have used these sponges in the past, but couldnt find them anywhere! SO glad to have found them on this site.
