Wedgwood (R) Queen's Ware

1996 STATELY HOMES Calendar Plate

Made in England (c) Wedgwood 1995

The plate is surrounded by a dozen different Castles and Homes each one representing a different month January through December.

The reverse of the plate has the makers name surrounded by classic scroll design and the names of the Houses and Castles and the County the represent.
January - Alnwick Castle, Northumberland
February - Syon House, Middlesex
March - Lyme Hall, Cheshire
April - Burghley House, Northhamptonshire
May - Picton Castle, Pembrokeshire
June - Wentworth Castle, Yorkshire
July - Glamis Castle, Tayside
August - Ranston, Dorset
September - Carshalton House, Surrey
October - Lulworth Castle, Dorset
November - Twickenham, Middlesex
December - Hatfield House, Hertfordshire

The Collector Plate is in terrific condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing to any of its surfaces. All the colours appear to be in original condition with no fading or wear. All information on both sides of the plate is fully legible.
There is one scratch that runs obliquely approximately 3cms from just above the "HO" in HOMES on the rear of the plate to just below the (R) at the end of WEDGWOOD above Queen's Ware - it can be seen clearly in picture 5 and less clearly in pics 6, 7 and 8. Definitely only a scratch in the glaze. looks to be that of a pen stroke. It doesn't detract from the overall aesthetic of the collector plate as it is on the reverse.

Would make a great gift for someone born in 1996, an Englishman who collects memorabilia from home, a Castle Enthusiast, or someone who collects Wedgwood specifically.
