The innovative range of Weathering Effects offers the modeller a new medium for depicting the effects of exposure to weather and extreme climates on vehicles and armour. The references of the range are formulated with permanent pigments and water based acrylic resins, and offer a great variety of scenic possibilities such as the creation of spilled fuel, engine grime, lichen and humidity, and crushed grass, mud splashes and fuel stains, each developed to represent a specific effect on vehicles and armour and to show their operative history under harsh conditions.

The products can be applied directly on the base, dry rapidly and most of them permit immediate further manipulation with the exception of Thick Mud which needs a more extended time for drying completely. Tools can be cleaned with water and soap.

Weathering Effects are not flammable, and do not contain solvents.

European Splash Mud VAL73801 - A dark brown colour most commonly observed in central European terrain and humid areas of the Mediterranean countries. Most of the non alkaline grounds present this colour.

Russian Splash Mud VAL73802 - A familiar shade known as Black Earth, very fertile soil, especially dark and dense, found in Eastern Europe, the Ukraine and southern Russia.

Industrial Splash Mud VAL73803 - The colour of grayish mud, native to urban environment where the presence of human activity, industrial construction and decay, has caused this particular shade of sludge.

Light Brown Splash Mud VAL73804 - The colour of mud on alkaline lands, found in dry climates of desert and Mediterranean areas which, due to their sandy nature, easily absorb the humidity.

Brown Splash Mud VAL73805 - Dark coloured mud, typical of fertile clay terrain where humidity is retained during long seasonal periods, found mostly in Mediterranean lands and the west of Europe.

Black Splash Mud VAL73806 - Very dark colour, found in earth which is very rich in vegetal substratum, similar to peat, as in wooded and humid areas and in the north of Europe.

European Mud VAL73807 - A dark brown colour with traces of vegetation, most commonly observed in central European terrain and humid areas of the Mediterranean countries. Most of the non alkaline grounds present this aspect.

Russian Mud VAL73808 - A familiar shade known as Black Earth, especially dark and dense, found in the very fertile soil of Eastern Europe, the Ukraine and southern Russia. Russian Mud contains traces of vegetation which ad a special density and realistic texture.

Industrial Mud VAL73809 - The colour of grayish mud, native to urban environment, where the presence of human activity, industrial construction, ruins and decay, have caused this particular shade of sludge.

Light Brown Mud VAL73810 - The colour of mud occurring on alkaline lands, in dry climates of desert and Mediterranean areas, which due to their sandy nature easily absorb humidity.

Brown Mud VAL73811 - Dark coloured mud, typical of fertile clay lands where humidity is retained during long seasonal periods, found mostly in Mediterranean areas and the west of Europe.

Black Mud VAL73812 - Very dark colour, seen in earth similar to peat, which is very rich in vegetal substratum, such as found in wooded and humid areas in the north of Europe.

Oil Stains VAL73813 - Oil stains are common around engines, hinges and all the moving parts of vehicles. The shiny look of the stains give the model a realistic aspect. Oil Stains is applied in the shape of spatters, drips or traces in specific areas.

Fuel Stains VAL73814 - In combat, the refuelling of tanks and trucks took place in the field, and the crews used pails, funnels, sections of hose, etc. for the job; the fuel was spilled all over, leaving characteristic traces on the vehicles.

Engine Grime VAL73815 - On the surfaces of the engine block, inside the engine compartments and even in areas where rests of fuel and oil accumulated, dust and dirt created a grayish layer of dust on the vehicle surface.

Diesel Stains VAL73816 - The stains of gasoline and diesel oil do not have the same colour: Diesel Stains reproduces the exact orange shade of this fuel, the streaks, traces and splashes caused by refuelling with diesel in the field are perfectly reproduced.

Petrol Spills VAL73817 - Reproduces the blue-black shade of intensity observed in heavy oils, lubricants, on barrels in a truck bed and round marks left by barrels on the ground, left by the flame throwers and combat vehicles.

Brown Engine Soot VAL73818 - Brown Soot accumulates on engine bulkheads, on compartment walls, on the wheel housings of trains and underneath the carterand crankshafts – a combination of dirt, rests of engine oils and dust.

Rain Marks VAL73819 - Rain carries dust and dirt over surfaces, leaving streaks on vehicles and objects, while the dust, displaced by humidity, accumulates in the joints and chinks of the model.

Snow VAL73820 - Snow is an ideal texture, coating surfaces evenly or in heaped mounds, with scale and proportion suitable for all scenarios, accumulated on vehicle chains, on a cart, or on the sides of the road or the roof of a cottage.

Rust Texture VAL73821 - Rust Texture reproduces a rough orange coating, the dry, flaked aspect of rusted vehicles, burned out cars, oxidised metal surface in vignettes or dioramas. Apply by brush and airbrush, needle size 0.4 and high pressure.

Slimy Grime Dark VAL73822 - Humidity generates slime and verdigris on wood, tree trunks, rocks and stone walls, moorings and pilings, in different colors, depending on the humidity. Slimy Grime Dark recreates the darkest shade, a black green.

Slimy Grime Light VAL73823 - The effects of humidity create textures of greenish mould and slime even on areas exposed to the sun. The lighter shade of Grime is perfect combined with Slimy Grime Dark to recreate streaking from light to dark.

Streaking Grime VAL73824 - Streaking Grime achieves the effect of light dust suspended in the air or blown by the wind to accumulate into the ridges of vertical surfaces on vehicles and buildings.

Crushed Grass VAL73825 - Crushed Grass contains traces of vegetation and reproduces the grass sticking to the wheels and tracks of vehicles, and in dioramas, crushed and flattened by the passage of heavy armour.

Mud And Grass VAL73826 - Mud and Grass Effect contains crushed vegetation, reproduces the texture of grass and mud, as well as compacted on the tracks of tanks and the wheels of armoured vehicles.

Moss and Lichen VAL73827 - Reproduces the weathered effect, the yellow green colours and textures of lichen on stones and walls, caused by the elements. Apply with a brush, or dabbed on with a sponge to reproduce the mottled aspect of the fungus.

Wet Effects VAL73828 - Wet Effects is an all purpose weathering product, formulated to reproduce the humid aspect on models and dioramas. Can be combined with other weathering effects to increase the impression of humidity and wet weather.
