Ring O' Roses, a nursery rhyme book, by Leslie Brooks. Larger 10" by 8" Hardback, pale blue boards with line illustrations Brooks was a very notable late Victorian/turn of the century illustrator noted for his work for Edward Lear & Andrew Lang's Nursery Rhymes book, charming line & colored water-color drawings & this book is full of them, 23 lovely late victorian style turn of the century color plates & with b&w drawings on nearly every page. Blue grey illustrated cloth no jacket. Binding solid, NOTE: covers worn & soiled with color bleached out on part of front cover ( scan) solid & bound tight. Internally nice, bright & clean, generally VG+ plates fine NOTE: except one that has old dark transparent tape over a tear on the left side near the binding (G only) & a couple with a small closed margin tears, minor else VG+. Scarce vintage nursery rhyme book, plates charming.
