Ornate Engraved Oval Box 800 Silver Coral Italy Ristori Renato 1890

800 Silver oval box featuring engraved geometric or plant decorations on the lid and sides as well as ornate floral and scroll decorations on the bottom of the box. The lid features an oval picture window surrounded by Coral cabochons. The lid and sides are remaining gilt. The interior of the box is gilt. Made by RISTORI RENATO di Egisto of Firenze c.1890.

This amazing box measures 2 11/16" long, 2 7/16" wide, 9/16" thick, and weighs 1.6 ozt. The Coral cabochons measure 6mm x 4mm.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.

The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
