Theses wonderful piece of art are very detailed with raised designs of fan shape
or fancy scrolls like crest on top. complete functional
The brass is shiny with a nice patina. Imagine for a moment, a fully armored
Spanish Conquistador mounting his elegant horse, slipping his foot into this
amazing stirrup as he prepared to ride into battle. The stirrups would give him an
advantage of control and stability while sitting or standing to wield his weapons.....
While I am, not experts in this area, research indicates it is very old, likely having
been made in the 50's or 60's The stirrup shows some signs of having been used and
also of having been taken care of.
They will looks great as door stop , bookend ,wall ganging vases for flowers.....
Measure of each stirrup is 10.1/2 inches long x 5.1/8 Highest area x 5 .1/8 inches widest part .
open space for foot is 4.7/8'' highest part x 5 '' at widest area x 10 '' deep. each weight 4.11 LBS
This is a very old horse stirrup , with nice age patina ,some shown of wear and scratches , but it will
give a extra additional touch to your home.....
