Victorian era English sterling silver vinaigrette,
which can also be worn as a pendant,
with gilded floral open work design interior and engraved decorations on exterior,
having a well-struck set of hallmarks
of Birmingham, the silversmith's mark
is A&S, c.1860.
This especially
attractive and useful vinaigrette is
13/16" long, 1/2" wide, 1/4" deep and
weighs 5 grams.
The soft, warm,
original finish is present, with no
buffing or machine polishing.
The
excellent original condition and clear,
crisp detail, with no monograms,
removals or alterations, make this an
especially attractive offering.
