- This handsome, detailed map
is drawn on a scale of 23 miles to one inch and shows amts (provinces),
cities, towns, railroads,
and natural features.
- It has an index to chiefl cities and three
insets: Iceland, Bornholm, and the Faroe Islands.
- The country's southern border conforms to treaties
following the Second War of Schleswig in 1863 and the Austro-Prussian
War of 1866 and extends east from Ribe in southwest Jutland, along the
course of the river Kongeå.
- The map was published by Rand McNally in 1901 and is
dated in the lower corner.
- The image area measures 31.7 x 23.2 cm [12½" x 9¼"].
Longitude is measured
from Greenwich, and the distance scales are calibrated in kilometers
and statute miles.
