Bertie Burnett Ham (1865-1954), the founder, was an Australian physician and amateur cricketer, completing his medical studies at Guy's. He returned and became Queensland's first Director of Public Health, before returning to England after a falling-out with the Australian Minister for Health.
Stanley Cock (1875-1929) was a Camberwell-born medical student at Guy's from 1896-1900. After completing his studies he became a noted artist, contributing caricatures to Vanity Fair. His study of Lord Banbury is held by the National Portrait Gallery.
