This is a brand new, Limited Edition, Mint condition,"PROOF" Don Mattingly - Player of the Year Plate. This art work, was produced in 1987 by the well respected artist, Brian Johnson. This plate appears to be a Proof done by Sports Impressions. This item was created for the limited-edition collection entitled "Don Mattingly - Player of the Year". It is titled "Don Mattingly - Player of the Year". This piece is made of fine porcelain and is not made for food use. This work "Don Mattingly - Player of the Year" was limited to 2500 and it appears to be a "PROOF" as it is not numbered. The back of the plate is shown in the pictures and is different than the one that was issued through Sports impressions The edge is coated with 24 karat gold trim. It is 10" round and comes in the original box and the COA from Sports Impressions.
