A survey of popular English literature from 1887 to 1914, including Rider Haggard, George Moore, Robert Louis Stevenson, Andrew Lang and many others. Original red cloth hardback in original dustwrapper. 412 pages. The dustwrapper is not price clipped and still shows the original 15s to the inside of the front flap. The dustwrapper is in attractive condition with some wear and tears to the edges, some dulling to the spine. The reverse of the dustwrapper has some sellotape residue to the spine ends (see pictures). The book itself is in very nice condition with edges with a little wear to edges (see pictures). Binding sound and square. Loosely inserted are a couple of newspaper clippings. A very nice example.
